RSL History is a project we at the museum have started. Currently we have been gathering information from newspaper articles and information passed on from the Sherbrooke Foothills Historical Society and RSL records.

Providing Assistance

RSL Victoria is here to provide assistance and support to past and present service personnel and their families.

Importantly you do not have to be a member of the RSL to receive assistance from RSL Victoria; you only have to be a current or former member of the Australian Defence Force, our Allies, or a dependent of either group.

Veterans Monthly Dinner

First Wednesday of the month at 6pm, 

we offer complimentary dinner for all Service Personnel (past & present) and their partners. Please join us. You do not have to be an RSL member to come along.

Ballroom Dancing Classes

Thursday's 7pm 

Single, Couples and Family Group all welcome.

All ages, All abilities

A great way to bond and reconnect back with family, friends and the community

Our teacher will tailor the class to meet the needs of each dancer, 

ensuring that everyone has a great time.

Supporting local talent, we have regular entertainment: Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday Afternoon, entry is free and everyone is welcome.

Anzac Day: 

Michael Coe and Ross Jonson are returning to create our ANZAC DAY event for 2024. They both have experience in arts and entertainment industries and are avid supporters of the RSL and veteran's care. Michael and Ross have been responsible for some memorable ANZAC events at Upwey/Belgrave in the pre-covid era, and will bring back the full Dawn and mid-morning services with sound, lighting and the solemnity that the day deserves.

Events and Fundraising Committee:

The Upwey Belgrave RSL provides support to Veterans, Service Personnel (Past and Present), First Responders and all their families. We also support and promote the community and local businesses. We invite you to come and be a part of fundraising activities throughout the year to raise funds that go directly to those we support who are in need, supporting the ones who protect us. By becoming the member of the committee you will be able to assist in the planning and running of vital fundraising activities. We have an amazing group, we have big plans so some more hands on deck would be awesome. This is a great way to get to know your community and be involved.

Community in Partnerships at the Volunteer Expo: Community is at the heart of the Upwey Belgrave RSL. The Family Fun Day and Volunteer Expo is bringing all these groups together in the one place for you to come and chat with about support, activties, and getting invovolved: Upwey Toy Library, Belgrave Rotary, Upwey Community Group, Belgrave Probus, Belgrave Preschool, Foothills Community Care, Upwey Girl Guides, Singularity Choir, Belgrave Junior Football Club.

The RSL collects donations for the ANZAC Appeal all year long. 

100% of funds raised through the ANZAC Appeal support veterans and their families in times of need.

Support may include crisis accommodation for veterans at risk, financial assistance for families in need, health and wellbeing programs, employment support and assistance with accessing pension entitlements.
