The Running Rabbits Military Museum would like to recognise William James (Bill) MAJOR
who passed away on Sunday 26 May 2024.
Born in the Upwey area in May, 1939, Bill spent a lot of time in this area.
Following on from his role as Secretary for Warburton RSL, Bill returned to Kilsyth to live and joined The Running Rabbits Military Museum in November 2012.
Bill was a long term dedicated volunteer at the museum. With passion and dedication Bill continued working tirelessley at the museum until early 2024.
Bill will be remembered for his
work in the Museum Store, sorting and cataloguing the uniforms and equipment.
He was a valued
and respected member of the Museum Staff and supported the RSL.
The members and staff of the Running Rabbits Military Museum would like to pass onto Helen and the family our condolences and thank them for his time with the museum.

Museum Snippet - Kindergarten come to visit

On 23rd May the museum hosted a tour for the Yarra Ranges Community Centre Three Year Old Kindergarten Group.
All the little eyes were wide open and lots of questions, with many that we had not been asked before LOL.
They had a great time and even saw Graham’s Teddy Bear Collection.
After the museum tour all the children enjoyed time playing in the RSL Children’s Playground.
The museum offer private group tours. We are always happy to accomodate. |
