Built in Berlin in 1917. There is an amazing story behind capturing this the piece of equipment from behind German lines.
To hear the story come down to our Running Rabbits Military Museum.
Bring the family, it will be an unforgettable experience
Come along see, hear, feel and wear. We promise, you will not be disappointed
Answer: Ukraine. They like them because they are water-cooled, so the barrels don't need switching because they take longer to overheat and mis-shape while firing!

| Puffing Billy, Running Rabbit Military Museum & The Upwey Men's Shed: Getting Involved for Better Health | Thursday 1st February, 12pm,
We invite you to a luncheon with some amazing guest speakers:
Puffing Billy Volunteers talk about "Life at Puffing Billy." What they do and how it benefits not only Puffing Billy but also themselves.
The Upwey Men Shed, Supporting the community. Who they are. What they do. How to get involved. The ripple effect of better health and wellbeing.
Running Rabbit Military Museum The only accredited RSL museum in Victoria. A troop of volunteers, with the almighty tasks of collating, researching, repairing, restoring and preparing items for display. Sharing the stories they hear about the items that are donated and collected. The pride they feel when the public are wowed and excited during the museum tour. Being part of a team, educating our military history to young and old.
Science shows that connection with others, and the act of giving and helping other is exceptionally good for your health and wellbeing. Keeping the mind and body busy, and getting involved with local clubs or volunteering for local not-for-profit organizations is an amazing way to support mental and physical health.
Please join us for this informative and interactive event.

Upwey Men's Shed restianing the museum enterance ramp:
Upwey Men's Shed hard at it again restaining the Running Rabbits Museum enterance ramp. Great job Rick and Stephen.
The Upwey Belgrave RSL walks side by side with the Upwey Men’s Shed. Both organizations run by volunteers, that are here to support their community. The Upwey Men’s Shed are a crucial part of the RSL maintenance team and we are truly grateful for all that they do for us.
Upwey Men’s Shed is a community based, non-profit, non-commercial organization, accessible to all men. The primary activity is the provision of a safe and friendly environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects, at their own pace and time. Men can just come and have a yarn and a cuppa if that is all they’re looking for. Members of Men’s Sheds come from all walks of life – the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands and would like something meaningful to do with that time. View some of their activities here https://www.upweymensshed.net.au/gallery-1 Contact the Men's Shed: 0418 132 443 or email upweymensshed01@gmail.com
